Perrie Edwards, formerly of Little Mix, has released her second solo single, “Tears,” following the success of “Forget About Us.” The new track is a summer-kissed anthem produced by Ido Zmishlany and is described by Edwards as an empowering song about leaving the past behind and moving on.

“Tears” is a refreshing change of pace for Edwards, showcasing her vocal versatility. The song has been described as “vibey,” “bad bitch anthem,” and “emotional.” The official release date was announced on June 7, 2024, with fans able to hear an exclusive clip by calling Perrie’s ‘No Tears Hotline.’ Edwards also released two playlists on Spotify featuring songs that inspired “Tears.”
Edwards first performed “Tears” at Capital’s Summertime Ball 2024 with Barclaycard, wowing audiences with her flawless vocals and a cover of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).” “Tears” is now available on all platforms via Columbia. Edwards has also revealed that her upcoming album will feature a special guest – her son Axel.
The release of “Tears” comes after Edwards secured her first-ever Official solo Top 10 single with “Forget About Us” earlier this year. When asked about her success, Edwards expressed her gratitude, saying, “Top 10, wow! I can’t thank you enough for the love and support everyone has shown ‘Forget About Us.’ It truly means the world to me!”
