Welcome to vents magazine Emilie Culshaw, we heard you have just won Tune fountain artist of the year, well done, how do you feel about that, and what’s it like being an award-winning artist?
Thank you so much! I can’t even express how much receiving that award meant to me, especially since this is just the beginning. Being an award-winning artist has given me even more motivation an drive and confidence in achieving my goals, more than ever before. I am very very grateful for that. Thankful to my supportive community, Big Condo Records and of course the amazing Tune Fountain.
We know you have just signed a record to a Chicago based label with mark Moncrief, how did that come about?
Yes! Very exciting. So, me and Mark Moncrieff met on a networking app called “Vampr” a few years back which was made to help musicians find collaborators, band mates etc. We previously collaborated on a dance track called “strong” which got signed by Emergent Shores label which saw great success. So, we decided to collaborate again on another track which is signed to Soluna records and will be out soon and we both can’t wait for everyone to hear it.
When are we going to hear your music, we have seen a lot of covers, but when is your first release?
So, I have my debut single release later in the year, I can’t wait to share my art and my vision with the world. My music means the most to me in the universe and I’ve been keeping it to myself for way too long now, it needs to be released.

We saw you are supporting Charliee on tour, who is another Big Condo Records artist, how excited are you for the Leeds tour date?
I’m absolutely buzzing, I have lots of love for Charliee she is an incredible musician with music full of authenticity and emotion. Absolute honour to be supporting her on tour. This will be my first show outside of my home city Liverpool too. I’ve heard so many great things about Leeds and the music scene. Can’t wait to perform and meet everyone!
We are Madison Beer fans, what made you want to record “Showed Me”?
Madison beer is a huge inspiration to me. I think her art is beautiful and so touching. I’ve wanted to record a cover of showed me since it got released. I love the dark vibe it has to it and singing it makes me feel confident and empowered.
We noticed you have also been added to the Carmolina Enchantment uk tour with a Manchester date, what should we expect different from other shows?
Yes, such an honour again, Carmolina is an amazing artist with great records. Without giving away too much, for these upcoming shows I have a new and improved setlist full of energy and meaning. Previously I went for more of a chill acoustic set but as my confidence has grown, I’m showcasing who I really am as an artist and the message I want to get across to my fans.
You recently worked with Royzy Rothschild on a remix of “Me,Myself and I” by G eazy and Bebe Rexha, how did that come about?

Absolutely loved recording this remix with Royzy Rothschild, as he is my mentor, and he has been mentoring me for over a year now. I joined the record label Big Condo Records as an intern after completing an artist development course. After I finished the course, I got signed to the roster. He mentioned that he would like my vocals on the Me, Myself and I remix as part of his mixtape Dr Seuss, Oligarchs and Monarchs, Car parks and Wallets. We did a rough demo to see how it would sound and then went into the studio and recorded it properly in only a few hours.
Who are your top 5 inspirations?
My top 5 inspirations now would have to be Lady Gaga, Chappel Roan, Beyonce, Madison Beer and of course Lana del Rey.
What’s your favourite food?
I could talk about food all day lol. My favourite food is probably my mum’s sausage casserole, it just can’t go wrong.
What should we expect this year 2025 from Emilie Culshaw?
2025 is about to be a massive year, words can’t describe how excited I am, can’t even sleep haha.
So many plans are my debut single which will be released later in the year. Im Very Nervous and excited for it. We are just at the very beginning of this journey, and I can’t wait to experience it all with my incredible loving supporters. Love you guys with all my heart.
