South Wales/South West UK-based pop-rock band Say It Anyway is thrilled to announce the release of their new single, ‘Mascara Mess,’ dropping on 23rd January 2025.

Following the success of their summer anthem, Vampires, Mascara Mess showcases a raw, emotive side of the band. This heartfelt rock track is driven by evocative lyrics and a powerful performance from lead singer Meg, bringing a fresh intensity to the band’s signature sound.

The release will feature not only the polished single but also an accompanying music video that deepens its narrative impact.

“Mascara Mess is for anyone who ever thought they’d be the exception; for anyone who ever thought their strength was in the hiding, in the suppressing, in the pretending.”

“The first lyric that I wrote of Mascara Mess was the line, ‘told myself I wouldn’t fall for you, but I’m a mascara mess on the ground.’ This lyrical play-on-words then shaped and inspired the rest of the songwriting process.”

In addition to the single release, Say It Anyway is gearing up for an exciting spring with a series of live shows planned across the UK and Europe. Fans can expect to hear their latest tracks live, alongside favourites from their growing catalogue.
