Spite is a unique and dark dance-alt rock track, mixing eery atmospheres, pulsating rhythms, janky riffs and headbanging chugs.
Spite reveals a journey through the thrilling and frightening thought process of spite. Musically and thematically, Spite is the soundtrack to being lost in the woods of your mind… and the most dangerous avenue of all, when you’re whisked up in your own rage, losing sight of what it reveals about you, and your part in the blame.
Reveling in spitefulness and dark energies, Spite will be released, ironically, on Valentine’s Day 2025 (February 14th), and had it’s radio premieres on BBC Radio 1 Introducing on January 23rd and 25th.
BAND BIO
Hailing from Portsmouth, on the south coast of the UK, Summoners serve the ultimate in alternative rock, and are poised to claim 2025 as their breakout year.
Beginning the new year with a running start, their debut single ‘Erase Replace’ was released to rave reviews alongside it’s music video on January 10th, gaining over 26 international radio plays, 10 radio playlistings, over 10,000 streams and 1,200 unique listeners in less than 2 weeks of release.
They will continue their solid momentum with the release of 5 further monthly singles of their best work to date. Next up is the dark dance-rock track ‘Spite’, releasing ironically on February 14th – Valentine’s Day. It gained it’s radio premiere on BBC Radio 1 Introducing on January 23rd.
With a DIY punk energy, Summoners produce all their own recordings, and create all their art and music videos. Having played events such as Icebreaker Festival and Portsmouth Guild Hall Takedown Festival shows in 2024, Summoners look ahead to the new year with premium support slots in venues such as Southampton’s The 1865.
