MaVe is releasing the 5th single “Stardust” from upcoming album “Ecstatic / Perplexed!”

On Stardust , releasing 21st of February, MaVe mixes English with a verse in her distinct Norwegian dialect, singing about changes and how something can go from an ecstatic state to total loneliness. Longing for the way things used to be. The track is composed in a spacious electronic, almost ethereal
production with haunting layered harmonies. With marching band style live drums played by Halvor Dokke, the track ends up resting right in-between upbeat pop and haunting ballad.

MaVe releases highly anticipated 2nd album “Ecstatic / Perplexed” on March 14th, 2025
Oslo, Norway — Rising musical powerhouse MaVe returns with her second studio album. Written,
produced, and recorded entirely by MaVe herself, the album is a testament to her artistic and creative vision.

“Ecstatic / Perplexed” explores the interplay between two emotional extremes: the euphoric highs of
life’s most vibrant moments and the solitary introspection of the minds more perplexing times. MaVe deftly blends Scandinavian experimentalism with catchy pop melodies, crafting a genre-defying sound that is both differently fresh and deeply relatable. MaVe is known for her honest and straight forward songwriting and “Ecstatic / Perplexed” is no exception.

“This album is about embracing the contradictions within ourselves,” says MaVe. “It’s an exploration of the exhilarating and the uncertain—sometimes they’re inseparable. I think these two emotional states complements each other, the end of one blends into the beginning of the other, and sometimes you don’t even notice the transition”

To bring additional texture and energy to the project, MaVe has brought in drummer Halvor Dokke, incorporating live drums into her productions for the first time. Under the skilled engineering of Peter Sørheim, MaVe worked closely with Dokke to ensure that her vision was authentically realised. Peter has also contributed playing guitar and bass on the record. The result is a seamless blend of live instrumentation and electronic precision, adding a new dimension to her sonic palette.
