Mark-Fly’s ‘Outstanding Contribution to Indian Literature’ Reaches 1.5 Million Readers Globally
In 2025, March, Mark-Fly Publishers launched one of its most ambitious initiatives yet—‘Outstanding Contribution to Indian Literature’, a tribute to iconic voices who have shaped the literary landscape of India. With a massive digital reach of over 1.5 million users, this initiative became a landmark moment for Indian publishing and storytelling on a global platform.
Mark-Fly, founded in 2019 as a marketing agency, was transformed into a publishing venture by Akshay Sharma, an international bestselling author, in 2020. Despite the setback during the pandemic, Mark-Fly evolved into a global brand in just a few years—bridging literature, marketing, and cinema. Akshay’s books, including the game-changing The Flying Dreams and the internationally acclaimed A Writer on a Mission: The Rise of Astraavan, have reached readers in over 60 countries, with lakhs of copies sold.
This initiative was powered by the Akshay Sharma Foundation in association with the Coimbatore Literary Awards and CLA Global Awards, organizations that Akshay also serves as Director. His foundation does not accept donations—instead, Akshay contributes personally from his earnings to uplift the literary community. In 2020, Coimbatore Literary Awards saw 200+ nominations and honored 20 authors. The following years brought the CLA Global Awards, with 300+ nominations and 30 winners, reaching over 5 lakh users. But it was in 2025 that Outstanding Contribution to Indian Literature broke all records.
