Up-and-coming artist Sophie DeFrench will release her chef-d’œuvre in her new album, ‘If You Can Tell,’ on July 29th. Through eight original tracks, DeFrench explores themes of grief, longing, heartbreak, hope, addiction, love, and somewhat brutal self-awareness.

The album unveils DeFrench’s intimate, emotive, and melancholic vocals, instrumentally accompanied by indie-folk and electronic elements. Inspired by artists like The Lumineers and Bon Iver, ‘If You Can Tell’ is a profoundly personal and painfully relatable collection.

The Indianapolis-based singer-songwriter has been sharing the delicacy and the hurt of human experience through a combination of Midwest noir, metaphor, and soul. Her music and storytelling have been featured on thousands of playlists and shared live around venues in Indianapolis and Nashville.

Naptime Recording Studio worked alongside Sophie DeFrench to complete this album, helping a number of emerging artists.
