Glasgow-based singer-songwriter and producer Becci Wallace has released her third studio album, After the Fog… Air, a collaboration with renowned Scottish hip-hop producer Steg G. The project represents Wallace’s boldest step forward to date, combining her signature poetic storytelling with Steg G’s dynamic and genre-defying production.

Initially conceived as a pop-inspired, outward-facing body of work, the album gradually evolved into a deeply personal exploration of resilience and healing. Written and produced during a period of global uncertainty, After the Fog… Air captures Wallace’s process of rediscovery, shifting seamlessly from uplifting and lighthearted tracks to moments of introspection and raw honesty.

The collaboration highlights a unique synergy between Wallace’s heartfelt lyricism and Steg G’s innovative production, resulting in a record that is both authentic and boundary-pushing. Together, they have crafted a body of work that reflects strength through vulnerability, while expanding the possibilities of contemporary Scottish music.

To mark the release, Wallace and Steg G are preparing to take After the Fog… Air on tour across the UK in 2026, bringing the album’s energy and emotion to live audiences.

Wallace has been an influential presence in Scotland’s music scene since her 2015 debut Fragmentality. Her second album, Present Tense (2020), earned critical acclaim and was selected as BBC Radio Scotland’s Record of Note, solidifying her reputation as one of Scotland’s most distinctive voices. Beyond her own music, she continues to shape the country’s creative landscape through her Songseeds Songwriting retreats, her work as a community music practitioner, and her ongoing research into hip-hop pedagogy as an early intervention in education.

With After the Fog… Air, Becci Wallace delivers her most personal project yet—a record that resonates both emotionally and sonically, reaffirming her position as one of Scotland’s most vital contemporary artists.
