ROOM SERVICE; Dive into Room Service’s latest psychedelic party, ‘Pooltime’

Chasing the success of their most recent disco-laced single ‘Plastic Cosmic FantasticHotel’ the Brighton indie-funk band Room Service hope to surpass all expectations while stilldelivering on their trademark genre-bending sound with the release of their newest single‘Pooltime’. Leaving the dance floor behind, ‘Pooltime’ is an exploration of a late-nightpsychedelic dreamscape crafted from the scraps of a demo brought in by lead guitarist ZachWright back in early 2024. The track throws the listener into the deep end of a hotel poolduring the sunset soaked aftermath of a party gone awry, capturing that surreal andall-too-familiar hazy feeling that inevitably comes after a night of over indulging. Thiscontinues a narrative path which will eventually connect together with the other songs duefor release on their upcoming debut EP “The Plastic Cosmic Fantastic Hotel” out October2025. So far only two rooms of the hotel have been unlocked, who knows what could bewaiting for you behind door number three…

The inspiration for ‘Pooltime’ came from years of gigging through sweaty grassroots venuesacross the UK, where the band got their name for high-octane live performances and theirvariety of musical taste. Wanting to challenge themselves, ‘Pooltime’ sees the band departfrom their usual up-beat dance grooves, and dive into deeper emotional territory searchingfor meaning after the madness through dark guitar tones and synth heavy melodies. Alwaystrying and never failing to surprise their audience, Room Service have certainly set the barhigh for their next release. No matter, customer service is what they’re known for.

More about Room Service:

Room Service are a six piece indie-rock band who have made a name for themselvesaround the South UK music scene for their energetic stage presence as well as their loyalfanbase.
