Good Time Locomotive reveal new single‘Live to dream’ Out September 9th

FFO: Blossoms, The 1975, The smashing pumpkins

Rounding off the summer in style, Good Time Locomotive continue their collaboration with Grammy-award winning mix engineer/producer Adrian Bushby (Muse, Foo Fighters, U2) with the soaring alt-rock epic ‘Live to dream’.

The song is a journey, from sweeping effects-laden guitar and heartfelt emotive vocals, through synth-pop drums and pads to a powerful chorus layered with lush strings and piano. As the band kicks into overdrive front-man Hugo Leite lets loose with an uplifting clarion call for all the star-gazers out there: ‘Live to dream and we’ll be free’.

Discussing the meaning behind the lyrics, Hugo describes the song as being about “the importance of meaningful connections in our lives and how they are far easier to make with someone who understands the value of dreams. Life is short and to not spend it following your passion is the only thing to truly be afraid of.”

Good Time Locomotive (GTL) are a London-Based Alt Pop/Rock band blending shimmering synths, funky bass, driving drums and heartfelt vocals to create emotion-packed music about identity, hope and resilience.

Influenced by The 1975 and Don Broco, GTL Fuse the spirit of the 80s/90s with a modern edge, connecting across generations both live and on record.

Since their debut EP release in early 2024, they have continued to refine their sound without losing their DIY roots. With new music monthly, strong social media engagement and high-energy shows, GTL are fast becoming a rising force in the UK and Beyond
