One bite before the full meal.”
That’s how genre-bending artist Mi Love describes her brand-new single Pink in the Box, released September 29, 2025. The track, produced by Amplified Studios and guided visually by creative director BHGP, is already making waves with its bold production, infectious rhythm, and unapologetic attitude—everything Mi Love fans have come to expect and more.
We caught up with the rising star just days after the track’s release to talk about the inspiration behind the single, the decision to delay a full album, and why Pink in the Box is just the beginning of what she calls “a whole new chapter.”
“This one’s just an appetizer.”
Mi Love greets us with her signature confidence—equal parts warmth, wit, and mystery. Still riding the high from the release, she laughs when asked if fans can expect more music soon.
“Oh, they better,” she grins. “*Pink in the Box* is just the teaser. I was deep into the process of creating a full-length album when this track just stood out. It had a life of its own. I knew I couldn’t sit on it. Sometimes, you’ve gotta serve the appetizer before you bring out the full course.”
Fans had been speculating about a new album ever since Mi Love began teasing studio sessions earlier this year, often posting cryptic behind-the-scenes clips, including snippets from the creative team at Amplified Studios , known for pushing sonic boundaries.
“The plan was the album. It still is,” she clarifies. “But I’m a bonafide entertainer. I thrive on that connection. I couldn’t wait any longer to give them something.”
The Sound of “Pink in the Box”
*Pink in the Box* blends sultry synth lines, punchy , and Mi Love’s signature vocal layering that flips between silky and sharp. It’s pop, it’s R&B, it’s danceable, and it’s unapologetically bold—just like the artist herself.
“I wanted it to feel like opening a present you didn’t expect,” she says, playing off the title. “You think you know what’s inside, but then boom—it’s a twist.”
