Bones of Goliath Capture the Energy with “Face The Flames”

Sometimes the right moment to document a band isn’t planned months in advance — it simply presents itself. For Bones of Goliath, that moment arrived on Halloween. We chatted with the band to find out more!!

The Ohio heavy rock band recently released a live video for their song “Face The Flames,” captured during a Halloween performance that quickly proved to be the right night to roll cameras. The show had the kind of atmosphere that bands and fans both recognize instantly: a lively crowd, a packed room, and a set building as it rolls.

“Halloween shows are notoriously fun,” the band explained. “It was an opportunity we didn’t want to pass up. We were able to get a solid recording, and the venue also offered to help us with it. We took the opportunity and ran with it.”

The performance chosen for release wasn’t random either. “Face The Flames” closes the band’s set, serving as the final push for the audience to get moving. “This song is the last one for people to get up and move,” they said. “So ‘Face The Flames’ is a very important tune for us to be dialed in and locked in together.”

Early reactions from listeners and reviewers have been encouraging. According to the band, the most common response has been how clearly the video reflects their live presence. “The reaction has been amazing,” they shared. “Everybody we’ve heard talk or write about it seems to have a similar take — the video shows the gigantic and dominating sound in its raw form.”

Beyond the live release, Bones of Goliath are continuing to build momentum. The band plans to return to the studio in 2026 while continuing to develop new material that expands their established sound without abandoning its foundation.

“We like to experiment with a lot of different stuff,” the band said. “But we try to keep everything rooted within the sound we’ve created over the years.”

For listeners discovering the band through the new video, the group points to a couple of other tracks worth exploring next: “Blade Fang Blood Claw” and “Snake Charmer.”

As for what a Bones of Goliath show feels like in person, the band sums it up with a vivid image: “Loud and powerful is our jam. Like standing in a massive thunderstorm — a controlled chaos that demands attention.”
