CLEVELAND, OHIO — J Temp 13 has officially released his latest project, The Blue Album, now available across all major digital streaming platforms, with a limited-run CD edition also offered for collectors. Released through Jib Machine Records, the eight-track album showcases a richly textured sonic journey that blends multiple electronic genres into a cohesive listening experience.
Opening with the mellow tones of “Vultan’s Nectar,” the album gradually unfolds into brighter, polished tracks like “Plasma Motel,” before concluding with the dynamic “RatRace (HANDANU House Remix).” Throughout the project, J Temp 13 explores a diverse palette of sounds, weaving together elements of ambient, house, noise, drum and bass, and avant-garde music. The result is a hypnotic and immersive soundscape that reflects both experimentation and artistic freedom.
The release also highlights the artist’s evolving creative process. Drawing from recent live DJ experiences, J Temp 13 translated that energy into the studio environment. With access to a personal home studio, he embraced a boundary-free approach to production. “I was able to experiment on my own time and get lost in my own thoughts—no time constraints, no boundaries,” he shared.
To celebrate the album’s launch, J Temp 13 performed a special happy hour DJ set on Friday, March 27, at Spotlight Cleveland. The event doubled as a fundraiser for XCSB Alternative Media, a new community radio station emerging from the legacy of WCSB.
With The Blue Album, J Temp 13 solidifies his place as a boundary-pushing artist in the experimental electronic scene, delivering a project that is both introspective and sonically adventurous.
