What information we collect

We aim to collect only what’s necessary to run the site and understand how it’s used.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics (or a similar analytics service) to understand how visitors use our site — pages viewed, time spent, general location (country/city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using tools such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Media. If you upload images to the website (for example, as part of a submission), you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images.

Contact. If you email us directly, we’ll have access to your email address and whatever you choose to share in that message. We use this only to respond to you.

What we don’t collect

We do not currently operate a newsletter or mailing list, and we do not have comments enabled on our articles — so we don’t collect data through either of those channels at this time. If that changes, we’ll update this policy accordingly.
