Cristi Hernz Unveils Evolution, a Three-Track EP Inspired by Growth, Culture, and House Music

Having started her DJ journey at just 11 years old, Cristi Hernz has spent more than 15 years refining her craft. Raised in Miami Beach, she developed a sound inspired by the city’s multicultural spirit, blending Afro House, Latin House, Organic House, Progressive House, and melodic electronic music into immersive productions driven by powerful percussion and emotional storytelling.

Rather than focusing on a single song, Evolution is designed as a complete listening experience. Across its three tracks, the EP explores themes of transformation, resilience, and self-discovery, taking listeners on a musical journey that steadily builds in energy while maintaining emotional depth. The release reflects Cristi’s philosophy of creating music that resonates long after the final beat, prioritizing connection over trends.

Cristi Hernz has built an impressive career performing throughout Florida and internationally, including Ibiza, while releasing music through respected labels such as Trax Records and Made In Miami. Her accomplishments extend beyond the stage as well. She is a member of both the Recording Academy and the Latin Recording Academy, and her instrumental album Road to Ibiza was placed in consideration for Best Instrumental Album at the 26th Annual Latin Grammy Awards (2025).

Outside of music production, Cristi continues expanding her creative impact through education and storytelling. She is the author of Selva the Flamingo: DJ of the City, a children’s book that encourages young readers to embrace creativity, music, and the confidence to pursue their dreams. Through her platform Selva Beats MIA, she also works to highlight artists while celebrating Miami’s vibrant cultural identity.
