With playful indietronic energy and a talent for turning everyday imagination into musical storytelling, Berlin-based artist Karlo Bromsen introduces a colourful new character with his first solo single, “Parlin Papito.”

Karlo Bromsen is a Berlin-based songwriter and artist best known as the voice of the indietronic act Bromsen. With “Parlin Papito,” he steps into a new creative chapter as a solo artist, combining melodic songwriting, upbeat indie-pop energy and playful electronic textures with an imaginative visual world.

Released on 10 July 2026, “Parlin Papito” introduces Papito — a tiny, hand-drawn cartoon character inspired by drawings created by Karlo’s son, Willi. Emerging from a corked bottle, Papito quickly finds himself at the centre of a surreal universe filled with family chaos, oddball villains, strange everyday adventures and an unexpected love of bees and bumblebees.

The result is a release that feels as much like the beginning of a story as it does a traditional single. Musically, Karlo brings together bright indie-pop momentum, electronic elements and memorable melodies, creating a warm and quirky sound that mirrors the personality of his new character. There is a handmade quality to the project, where music, animation and storytelling come together to create something playful yet distinctly personal.

What makes “Parlin Papito” particularly intriguing is that the song is only the starting point. Alongside the release, Karlo is developing an ongoing TikTok mini-series that expands Papito’s world episode by episode.
