Lex Bucha Reveals New Single ‘Faithless (Sacrifice)’
Dublin based singer-songwriter Lex Bucha returns today, September 3rd, with his darkest and most defiant single to date, ‘Faithless (Sacrifice)’. Marking the first taste of a new EP due later this year, the track sees Bucha stepping into a more confrontational era, trading the vulnerability of his earlier material for a sharper sound built around themes of rejection, self liberation and reclaiming personal power.
Where his debut EP, Painless Mode, found Bucha confronting anxiety and family conflict, ‘Faithless (Sacrifice)’ turns its focus outward. Produced by Liam Geddes, the track explores the experience of walking away from the people and institutions that have failed you, while refusing to carry their judgement into the future. Bucha describes the song as an act of turning the tables, embracing the role of the villain in the eyes of those who rejected him and choosing to follow his own truth instead.
“‘Faithless (Sacrifice)’ is about rejecting those who have done wrong by you,” Bucha explains. “I wrote this song based on true events in my life, leading a life for others and then deciding not to, and instead treading a new path and following my truth.” Having grown up in the Church before being rejected because of his sexuality, Bucha uses the song to confront that past directly, rejecting the religious expectations placed upon him and embracing the very things he was once taught to see as evil.
Bucha is quickly emerging as one of Ireland’s indie pop artists to watch in 2026. After releasing his debut single in 2024 and Painless Mode in July 2025, he has continued to build a reputation both as a solo artist and songwriter, having written for acts including Emmy, Ireland’s Eurovision 2025 entry, Silver Omen and Mila Nikic. Influenced by artists such as Sombr, The Weeknd and Lauv, his music combines emotive storytelling with sleek, atmospheric production. With support from BBC Introducing, RTÉ Pulse, Today FM and Spin, ‘Faithless (Sacrifice)’ opens a darker new chapter for Bucha, setting the tone for an EP that promises to push his sound and storytelling even further.
