The Overtones Bring Christmas Harmony Back to the UK
Prestige Productions proudly presents The Overtones’ new festive tour, Jivin’ Home For Christmas, bringing one of Britain’s best-loved vocal harmony groups to theatres across the UK this November and December. Celebrating their 15th anniversary, the multi-platinum selling quartet will embark on a 22-date seasonal tour, promising an evening of timeless favourites, brand new material, immaculate harmonies and the kind of feel-good atmosphere that signals the official arrival of Christmas.
The Overtones have built their reputation on a rare combination of musical precision, classic nostalgia and effortless showmanship. Jay James, Mike Crawshaw, Mark Franks and Darren Everest have collectively taken their distinctive sound from intimate beginnings to some of the world’s most prestigious stages. Six Top 10 albums, 15 sold-out UK tours and performances everywhere from the London Palladium and Royal Albert Hall to Buckingham Palace and Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate have established the group as one of the country’s most prolific live acts.
Their story also carries some remarkable cultural milestones. Their recording of Celebration, from the No.1 album 10, became the soundtrack to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee parade, while the group performed at four knockout matches during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, including England’s encounter with Senegal. Their performance history reaches an extraordinary scale, from royal celebrations to an audience of more than one million at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, demonstrating the breadth of their appeal.
The new tour arrives after a busy summer for the group, who headlined Jukebox Idols, a 29-date celebration of music and dance featuring five-time World Latin and Ballroom Champion and Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova, alongside four-time Olympic medallist and former Strictly champion Louis Smith MBE. Away from the stage, the quartet continue to develop their creative ambitions, with original music currently being created alongside Grammy and Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter and producer Eliot Kennedy.
Jivin’ Home For Christmas begins at Whitley Bay’s Playhouse on November 7 and travels through Peterborough, New Brighton, Swindon, Carlisle, Liverpool, Glasgow, Bromley, Southend and a host of other UK destinations before concluding at Eastbourne’s Congress Theatre on December 17.
